Post with a Google Photo
How to Embed a Single Google Photo in a Post
Follow these steps to embed an image from Google Photos into your webpage or Markdown file:
- Open Google Photos in your web browser: https://photos.google.com/
- Select the photo you want to embed. This will open it in full view.
- Click the Share icon (
) in the top-right corner and select “Create link.”
- Press the blue “Create link” button in the popup.
- Click on the generated link (instead of using the “Copy” button).
- The image will open in a new tab.
- Click the image to expand it fully.
- Right-click on the image and select “Convert image tag to Markdown and copy.”
- Paste the copied Markdown code into your
.md
file.
Note: The image may take some time to appear consistently as it propagates across Google’s network. If it doesn’t display immediately, check back later.
